A Pass on Grades
Instead of traditional letter grades, students receive written evaluations of their performance. a few colleges such as, Sarah Lawrence College, Bennington College, and the University of California, Santa Cruz, are just a few of the schools that use the system. This system emphasizes a one-one-one relationship between professors and students.
Without the pressure of maintaining grade point averages, students are free to focus on learning for learning's sake.

Setting Her Sites

Robin Liss, 23, did not have to buy a good suit, pound the pavement, and sit through interview after interview to land a job. that's because she already had a job - as the chief executive office (CEO) of her own company, Reviewed.com. It's a job the 2006 graduate of Tufts University had throughout her high school and college years.

Working on the Railroad

Sharon Carlquist's is a conductor for Metro-North Railroad, a passenger line used daily by thousands of commuters in New York and Connecticut. E-Learning: The Anytime, Anywhere Option

There are some people who like to earn their college credits without leaving their houses. A visual communications major at Georgia's Savannah College of Art and Design has taken several speech and computer courses online along with his regular classroom studies.
Even though take online classes seems easy, these students are working hard. These students are earning credits at their own pace, on a schedule and in a setting that works for them.
E-classes fall into two categories:
- Synchronous classes allows the instructor and students to log on at a prearranged time and conduct class through chat rooms or streaming video.
- Asynchronous classes allow students to log on anytime within an assigned time frame to trn in and receive assignments, take tests, or post to message boards.
"E-LEARNING IS ON THE RISE."

Remote Access

The beginning of this reading, I read about 32 year old Jacqueline Colligan; she has a very busy schedule everyday because of her job and the traffic that delays her schedule back 20 minutes. She is a part time telecommuter, working from her townhouse in Weymouth, Massachusetts, several days each month.
More Companies Step Up
Telecommuting has grown steadily since the 1980's, when the idea originated in response to the energy crisis, transportation issues, and environmental concerns. today, those same issues, as well as work life balance issues, drives workers to choose telecommuting, even if just part of the time.

Piggy Pie by ICP

The first little piggy, his house is made of wood,
He lives in a chicken turkey piggy neighborhood.
He likes to f**k his sister, and drink his moonshine,
A typical redneck filthy f**kin’ swine!
I rode into town with my ax in my holster,
Everybody knows about the wicked piggy roaster.
The sheriff at the border, he tried to take me out,
I drew my ax with the quickness, and cut his Adams apple out!
Walked in the village, and to the piggy’s place,
He opened up his door, and shot me in the face.
It blew me off the porch, and blew my head in half,
But I’m a juggalo, so it only made me laugh. (he he!)
Ax in hand, I rose like the dead,
And swung with all my might,
I made a thump noise in his head.
Since we out west, I grabbed the shot gun,
And blew his f**kin’ tongue out the back of his cranium!
Three little piggies, to make a piggy pie.
There’s nothing like the sound when you hear a piggy cry.
I might use a gun, (no!)
I might use an ax, (yes!)
The carnival’s in town, come and get your piggy snacks!
The second little piggy, his house is made of brick,
And this little piggy is a mutha f**kin’ dick.
He lays down his rules and reads you your rights
In that funny lookin' car with the little blinkin' lights
I drive a volkswagon bug 17 deep
Packed full of juggalo’s lights out and we creep
To the piggy station and lay on the horn
First piggy out we blow his lungs out his uniform
Now the air kazoo like starsky and hutch
But there’s only 2 of them the rest are out to lunch
They call up dunkin dough nuts to gather up the rest
25 piggy’s with they bullet proof vests
We lead ’em on a chase, they blowin' off rounds
Now they all front cuz we at the carney grounds
And they gettin swallowed by they very own greed
Dark carnival and wicked clowns cuz we need
Three little piggies, to make a piggy pie
There’s nothin' like the sound when you hear a piggy cry
I might use a gun, (no!)
I might use an ax, (yes!)
The carnival’s in town come and get your piggy snacks (2x)
The last little piggy, his house is made of gold,
He lives in a mansion on his own private road,
I started walking down it, the guard he told me wait,
I snapped his f**kin' neck in 2 and slammed his nuts in the gate!
cuz this little piggy, must definitely die,
I’m a lop his nugget off and toss it in the sky.
And then I watch the moon take the form of the devil,
And pull it out the sky, and beat it with a shovel.
People in my city, they fight for they meals,
He sleeps on a mattress stuffed with hundred dollar bills.
A Ritchie is the devil, he never really made it,
So I’m a cut his hand off and slap his face wit’ it.
Opened up his door, he’s sleeping in his bed,
I grabbed a brick, and Roller-laid it upside his head.
He begged for his life, I told him it’s too late,
And tied his neck in a knot and watched him suffocate, cuz I need
Three little piggies, to make a piggy pie
There’s nothin like the sound when you hear a piggy cry
I might use a gun, (no!)
I might use an ax, (yes!)
The carnival’s in town come and get your piggy snacks

What's New, Interview?

There are numerous feelings and emotions that individuals get before, during, and after an interview. Those feelings are anxiety, nervousness, sweaty palms, faster heart beats, being optimistic about getting the job, and thinking about all of the things that might be said.Traditional Interviews are face-to-face and one-on-one interviews. During this interview you have to speak clearly, make eye contact, ask questions about the job, and talk about your qualities, skills, and be very descriptive of what type of job you are looking for. Technological Interviews are computers (E-mail and instant message IM) and phones (voice mail).

· By Phone:

1. Find a quiet location and have a pen and your résumé on hand.

· Interviewing online

1. The interviewer is not your friend, do not get sidetracked, STAY FOCUSED!

Panel interviews are not experienced until after high school. It is just like a traditional interview except instead of one person deciding your fate. These interviews are used to see how well you get along with others and whether you will be hired or not hired. This interview may be laid-back and casual, which often makes it easier to relax and impress! There is more than one and two people which you have to make eye contact with each member of the group, but focus on the individual who asked the question. After answering, look around to see if anyone (wants) further clarification. Working interviews are not the best in the world because most of the time you are use to traditional interviews. During this interview, they watch how you work with the sales team and your performance within this company. Stress interviews are interviewers being rude and sarcastic to see whether you are able to handle the customers who are needy. However, this type interview needs to handle by taking a deep breath and acting like his/her attitude does not faze you. Behavioral/Situational Interviews are questions asked about real-life situations, because they want to know how well you can handle various situations. However, it can be effective to your capability of working with your co-workers and your new team members of the company you've applied for.
